Excellent staff will make sure your stay will be pleasant. We appreciated continental breakfast, but also typical English breakfast freshly cooked with flexibility to choose preferred ingredients. Reasonable price and brilliant location underlines everything.

First, the term "excellent" is overused, so I seldom give a rating beyond it. "Average" ought to be considered acceptable in all contexts and should NEVER be considered as negative.
My only negative would be the television. I only wanted to watch Match of the Day and expected no problem in turning on the set. However, the remote was not working. Also, the connection was a new one to me, so needed to have a user's guide. On the positive side, a couple of staff members arrived promptly and sorted out the problem, but not before I I had missed a lot of the programme. I wasn't angry, just slightly frustrated at the time, because I had set up my home set to record MOTD.
Overall, I would have no hesitation in returning to the hotel in the future.

We have used the Whitehall in the past but Grange Hotels no longer own this which is a shame because the bar and restaurant there was better than any of the other Grange hotels in the area. However, the room at the Buckingham was great (included fridge and microwave which was a surprise), the breakfast at the Clarendon was fine (the Buckingham has no restaurant) and the bar at the Beauchamp was ok but very small. But, as before, the Whitehall was better.

What more can I say? Super staff, spacious room, and heat! (You'd be surprised how many London hotels are constantly chilly.) The kitchenette means no need to sit on the bed to watch TV or have tea. Lovely experience.

Booked for 1 night as attended a concert in London. Having enjoyed a previous stay here I had no qualms about booking again. Friendly staff, very clean and a filling breakfast.
