The basement room was noisy as the staff door and staircase are directly outside and are vigorously used day and night. It is a bit unnerving having a window that opens so close to people walking past on the street - even if there are bars over it.
The desk was too small and high to work on. It served as a TV stand.
The staff were polite and helpful. The breakfast was very good indeed and options were given.
The wifi worked well and was really free.
The rooms were kept clean and tidy. The shower was powerful and the bathroom large.
The position of the hotel is good for seeing London.
I would stay again but not in the basement room.

Well appointed, efficiently staffed hotel with large comfortable rooms and bathrooms for London standards. Good quality continental breakfast and nice warm decor all around. But above all, it’s in Bedford Place, beautiful relaxed location in central London.
