Staying 3 nights in Portland Hotel (after unexpected upgrade) left me with extremely positive experience. Large but cosy room, great room service and quite calm environment helped us in relaxing and making the most of our sentimental journey to London. Definitely will seek occassion for another stay! Awake at 6 AM because of the traffic noise. Windows maybe changed for more silence in the room. Otherwise, our stay was delightfull.

I stayed in this hotel for a week with my daughter. I was a lovely and positive experience. It’s only five-minutes from the Institute of Education and 2 min from Russel Square and Bloomsberry Square. The staff are very polite and attendant 24 hours. The rooms are beautiful. Will definitely choose this hotel again.

I had the pleasure this time of staying in room 102 which is lovely. It is big and full of space and just what I needed after a tough day.
The only down-side was there was no tea or coffee in the room so despite having a kettle and mugs, I couldn't have a brew the next morning and didn't have time to go across to the Clarendon for breakfast. Otherwise this would have been a 5 star review.
