Excellent hotel, ideally situated in Camden, near to British Museum and London transport facilities, efficient and friendly staff, clean and bright rooms, excellent breakfast and good food available.

With a couple exceptions, staff were not personable or welcoming. Sheer window curtain in bedroom was partially off rod throughout stay-this was reported first day. Room and room furniture needs updating .

The Clarendon is an extremely well-run hotel with pleasant rooms, a capable and caring staff and a superb location, all at a very reasonable rate. I have stayed here several times for both short and longer visits and will return again.

We were with a Go Ahead tour. Would stay again, but would stay at your place down the street where we went to eat one evening. Seems to have been renovated and the staff seems more on the ball, may simply be the pride they have in a renovated facility but it is noticeable. Our property was "Tired" and needs 10-12,000 lbs per room to bring it up to the level that everyone would want to stay there. Bones are good, simply needs to be worked through with a renovation. One maroon decorative pillow in our room was ripped on one side and staff either did not notice, or did not care. Should be at least taken out of the room. Attention to detail from management may help. Note that in the back "garden" or treed area at the end behind your hotel next door there were unsightly wood and other pieces that had been used for fixing things that were laid in a pile, not stacked neatly but just thrown around. Employees want to do well, not sure if it is a combination of language, more focus and training needed or a few of them messing up the rest. Think just a little more focus and training would make a huge difference. Location Great, price right, tired property, and could use some focus on employees to help them get to the next level. Just felt overall attention to detail and focus could e improved. I did retire a few years ago from owning 22 hotels, some full service, mostly rooms only with buffet breakfast daily.
