Built in 1599, The original Globe Theatre, was destroyed by fire in 1613 to be rebuilt later in 1614 and demolished in 1644. It was only until 1997 that a new Globe Theatre reopened and was given the name 'Shakespeare's Globe Theatre'.With a reputation as one of the most famous playhouse's of all time, The Globe Theatre is the house where Shakespeare performed most of his greatest plays. The magnificent 3000 capacity house was built from oak on a 3 storey level becoming as famous as the artist himself. Nowadays the Shakesperare's Globe Theatre is a well-known attraction visited by most of the visitors around the world.
