Founded in 1813, the Clockmakers' Company Library was placed in the City's Guildhall Library (Aldermanbury, London EC2P 2EJ), for easy and convenient access for the public visitors and remained there ever since. Begun in 1814, The Clockmakers' Collection remains the oldest collection of clocks and watches exclusively in the world. The collection has been on permanent public display eversince 1874 alowing free entrance for all it's visitors.

Among the valuable collections you will find some 600 English and European watches, 30 clocks and 15 marine timekeepers, as well as a number of rare horological portraits. Most of the items in the Collection range from c.1600 to c.1850 making it an unforgettable experience.
