Battersea Park was opened by Queen Victoria in 1858, however the most famous event dates from 1951, when the Festival Gardens weas created as part of the post-war Festival of Britain.

Located between Chelsea Bridge and Albert Bridge, Battersea Park is a 200 acre historic park offering as attracions a sub-tropical and wildflower gardens, a deer park, a miniature railway for children, and a small zoo, among other facilities such as the adventure playground for childre,all weather pitches, the millennium arena, children’s zoo,dog control, events team, film office, lakeside café, Battersea Park office, tennis courts and London recumbents cycle hire for the family delights.
