having stayed in other 5 star hotels, more recently, Palazzo Monemartini (in Rome). It was no comparison. The spa facilities were not of a high enough quality, too busy & too noisy. It was not tranquil and there were no lounge seats/chairs to relax on.

Low quality products in bathroom. Terrible hairdryer. It took over 20 minutes to get some ice. I kept saying I would come & get it myself as we needed it straight away but was told it would be coming soon. Very slow.

Hotel looks good and design is good but the television is too small and the mattress is too hard , one expect a comfortable mattress at a 5* hotel, shower water luke warm.

Metropolitan Ladies night stay

On arrival in room 673 it smelt heavily of cigarette smoke which means either the previous occupants or cleaner had been smoking - assuming it was the previous occupant air fresheners should have been used before we arrived. The uplighter was not working and there is a crack in the sink. This is not to your usual standard.
