New Year’s Parade

Welcome in the New Year at London’s New Year’s Day Parade (LNYDP) 2019. This annual spectacle attracts over 500,000 visitors from all over the world and, in 2018, was watched by more than 300,000,000 people on the TV. Get involved this year from 12 noon, starting on Piccadilly.

Full of colour, music and dance, LNYDP 2019 promises to be another show-stopping street performance. Groups from all across London and the world come together to celebrate the New Year and raise money for charity. With so much going on, there’s guaranteed to be something for everyone, so come down and get involved.

January Sales

For many of us, the best bit about January are the January Sales. London really puts on a spread when it comes to sale shopping, so you can be sure to find everything you need and plenty of things you don’t!

Whether you’re hitting up Oxford Street, checking out Covent Garden or braving the crowds at Westfields, London offers the widest variety of shops for the January Sales. You can easily spend a whole day enjoying a bit of retail therapy and chasing away those January Blues.

Ice Skate At Somerset House/Canary Wharf

If you didn’t fancy battling it out on the ice rink with the Christmas holiday-makers, pop along in January! The popular ice rink outside Somerset House is open until 13th January 2019, giving you plenty of time to have a go at this seasonal pastime.

But if you still can’t make it in January, the ice rink at Canary Wharf is open until 16th February 2019! Ice skating is one of the best ways to spend a dark evening in January or February. Get a group together, or just a couple of friends, and enjoy a few hours laughing and skating.

Hogwarts in the Snow 2019

Regardless of whether you’ve been to the Harry Potter Studio Tours before or not, experiencing Hogwarts in the Snow is worth going back for. All of the sets and prompts available to see will be turned into a wintery wonderland until 27th January.

Beginning in The Great Hall, huge snow-covered Christmas trees will be on show, with ice and snow decorating the enormous space. The Gryffindor Common Room and Boys’ Dormitory will also be covered in festive fun, with the fireplaces lit with special effects fire and Christmas cards hanging all around. It will feel just like Christmas all over again!

Make the most out of London this January. The City lights will be warm and welcoming, despite the cold and dark days, so why not enjoy a weekend break in the Capital? Our hotels are all across London, so you have a base to explore from! Book in advance and save up to 12%.
