Comedy fans can see a top night of entertainment during their London hotel break when Chris Addison performs in the city in May.

The star, who is perhaps best known for his role as Ollie in BBC political sitcom The Thick of It, will appear at the Bloomsbury Theatre on May 4th 2010.

Addison has forged himself a reputation as a comedy actor in recent years with credits including his own show Lab Rats.

He is currently playing the role of the college principal in teen drama Skins.

However, he considers himself a stand-up comedian at heart and the show represents an opportunity to see him in his natural environment.

The Sunday Times described Addison as "downright hilarious", while an Observer critic said he is "the best stand-up I've seen".

Addison fans who wish to see the performance may wish to stay in a nearby London hotel after the show, with suitable accommodation including the Grange Fitzrovia Hotel and the Beauchamp.
