The upcoming Ideal Home Show (IHS) at Earls Court will offer guests staying at hotels in London ideas and advice on home improvements, gardens and gadgets to take back with them to their own house.

Originally held in 1908, the event has become one of the UK's biggest consumer shows, covering every aspect of domestic interiors and exteriors.

This year's show will feature the Ideal Village, which will showcase the latest in property design, a Celebrity Chef Theatre and the Ideal Home of the Future, where visitors can see the gadgets and gismos of tomorrow.

For those who want to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the show, there is a floating cafe in the Central Marina and a relaxed eatery offering creations from noted Italian chef Aldo Zilli.

Among the celebrities taking part in this year's IHS are Monty Don, Fiona Phillips (pictured), Linda Barker and architect George Clarke of Channel 4's The Home Show.
