Basketball fans are likely to be booking London hotel breaks in October, as some of the biggest names in the sport are heading to the city.

The O2 Arena is set to host NBA Europe Live London 2010 on October 4th 2010, with the match starting at 20:00 BST.

NBA defending champions the LA Lakers will be taking on the Minnesota Timberwolves in a rare chance for British basketball fans to see some of the game's star players in the flesh.

These will include Kobe Bryant, Devin Ebanks, Steve Blake and Matt Barnes for the Lakers, with the Timberwolves' stand-out men including Jonny Flynn, Wayne Ellington and Corey Brewer.

Attendees may wish to book a London hotel stay for after the evening's entertainment, with the O2 Arena enjoying excellent transport links to the rest of the city.

The Grange City Hotel could therefore be a good choice for those looking for London accommodation, because it is located a short trip on the London Underground or a bus ride from the venue.
