Weirdest London Sites

So, you think you know London? If you’re going to be staying in London hotels, whether for work or a holiday, if you’ve been to the city before and you think you know all there is to see, think again.

If you want to see something different, here are some of the weirdest and most overlooked sites in the city of London that you may not want to miss this time around.

The Turkish Baths, located on Old Broad Street (from Liverpool Street) was built in 1895 and despite the World Wars, the IRA attacks, and modern property development, has remained virtually untouched.

Another interesting place is the Adam and Eve pub on Wells Street. It used to be called The Ben Crouches Tavern, named after a grave robber form the 1800’s. For years the London Vampire Group used to hold meetings here.

If you want a little bit of beach side fun, why not wander down to … The Thames? Yes, it’s true, if you walk down near Gabriel’s Warf on the South Bank you’ll find a little bit of sandy beach on the banks of the Thames River.

Interested in modern architecture? You won’t want to leave without catching a glimpse of The Blue House on Garner Street—an innovative and quirky example of a modern English home.
