Perhaps you’ve stayed in London hotels many times before. Maybe you even live in the city. You’ve visited Buckingham Palace, strolled through Kensington Gardens, seen the Tower of London, and even taken a boat ride down the Thames. But this doesn’t mean you’ve seen it all. Here are some unique things to do in London.

1.    Visit The Globe Theatre.
The Glove theatre is designed to resemble the type of theatre that Shakespeare would have performed in. His plays are performed here from May through September, and if you book a “standing yard ticket” you can get a ticket for a really low price. There’s also a marvellous gift shop with lots of fun Shakespeare-themed gifts.

2.    Visit Charring Cross Road.
This road was made famous by the book 84 Charring Cross Road by Helene Hanff. While the book shop is no longer there, there’s a plaque on the wall of the former shop commemorating Hanff’s story. It’s a great thing for literature buffs to check off their “bucket list.”

3.    Shop at Harrods.
This famous department store offers floor upon floor of everything from fashion and makeup to toys and equestrian gear. Even if you don’t buy anything, visit the chocolate cafe and order a luxury hot chocolate.

4.    Go to mass at Westminster Cathedral.
Even if you aren’t religious, you’ll be amazed at the hauntingly beautiful choir voices, and will be sure to leave London feeling at peace.
