Bill Gates was one of many enjoying the spectacular events facilities at the Grange St. Paul’s hotel, which hosted the groundbreaking GAVI
Replenishment Conference on 13th June 2011. Securing pledges and commitments of
$4.3 billion within only 4 hours, both Bill Gates and Prime Minister David Cameron expressed their delight at being
able to safe-guard GAVI’s international programme, which aims to immunise over 80
million vulnerable infants against killer diseases such as pneumonia and diarrhoea
in developing countries by 2015.
In recognition of the high-profile nature of the GAVI conference and its attendees,
the Grange St. Paul’s hotel implemented a range of innovative security measures.
The expert in-house technical team enabled simultaneous translation, together with
sound feeds for a multitude of worldwide media broadcasters.
