About the chefs
1) Sriram Aylur’s restaurant The Quilon, in London’s Westminster is revered for
its specialty, South Indian cuisine and received its first Michelin star in 2008.
He has won numerous other awards for his outstanding creations.
2) Vineet Bhatia first won the coveted Michelin star in 2001 and then subsequently
in 2006 with Rasoi. He was hand-picked to be a food consultant for British Airways,
and is behind Urban Turban restaurant.
3) Alfred Prasad is executive chef at Tamarind in Mayafair and is the youngest Indian
chef to receive a Michelin star at 29. His expertise, talent and ambition have ensured
that Tamarind’s cuisine continues to receive praise from guests and critics alike.
4) Vivek Singh is the Executive Chef of The Cinnamon Club and been redefining expectations
of Indian cooking. He crafts a brilliant marriage between Indian flavours and spicing
and western culinary styles.
5) Cyrus Todiwala is proprietor and Executive Chef of the Café Spice Namasté restaurant
group (Cafe Spice Namaste and The Parsee). In 2000 Cyrus was awarded an MBE in recognition
of his extensive knowledge, skill, commitment and expertise to the restaurant and
catering industry.
